AEDs don't save lives – people with AEDs do

NSW Ambulance is responsible for the state’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) registry.

Together with chest compressions, a publicly available AED can help save a life. AEDs are simple, safe, and easy to use. No prior training is necessary.

You can register an AED via the NSW Government’s GoodSAM website or the GoodSAM app, by clicking on the ‘life ring’ symbol.

If you have several defibrillators to register, contact AMBULANCE-AEDRegistry@health.nsw.gov.au.

Registering publicly available defibrillators, helps save lives. To view AEDs near you, sign up as a GoodSAM volunteer and download the app.

Please note NSW Ambulance is unable to provide advice on replacement parts for AEDs, such as pads or batteries.
